Lambda Link

OneDrive & SharePoint

Organize knowledge. Make collaboration easier.

Give personal work and shared business content a clear home. Lambda Link structures OneDrive and SharePoint around ownership, collaboration, and responsible access.

Two services with complementary roles

OneDrive is an employee’s work file space, useful for drafts and files they choose to share. SharePoint provides team and organization spaces for shared knowledge and durable business content.

OneDrive

Sync work files, access them across devices, share specific items, and collaborate on documents. Plan ownership transitions when an employee changes roles or leaves.

SharePoint

Build intranets, team sites, document libraries, and information hubs. Metadata, version history, and structured navigation help people find and maintain content.

Sensitivity labels and controlled sharing

Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels classify content and can apply supported protection settings. Site labels can govern settings such as external sharing and privacy; file labels can carry encryption and usage rights. A label on a site does not automatically label every document inside it.

  • Use identity groups and deliberate site permissions to grant access.
  • Configure file labeling, sharing links, retention, and DLP for the intended workflow.
  • Review guest access, broad sharing, and sensitive libraries before enabling AI experiences.

Knowledge that works across Microsoft 365

Teams uses SharePoint and OneDrive for file collaboration. Copilot can use accessible organizational content, making content quality and permissions especially valuable. Lambda Link migrates files, designs site structures, and trains staff to share and find information confidently.

OneDrive & SharePoint: common questions

When should a file live in SharePoint instead of OneDrive?

Use SharePoint for durable team documents, shared knowledge, and organizational records. OneDrive suits an employee’s drafts and individual work files. We help establish ownership and handover rules so important information remains available when roles change.

Does a SharePoint site label protect every file inside it?

A container label can control supported site settings such as sharing and privacy, but it does not automatically apply a file label to every document. File labeling, encryption, permissions, and retention need their own configuration.
